HFRDatabase.com allows subscribers to perform both simple and sophisticated searches of the industry’s most comprehensive hedge fund database. The basic functionality includes tools for sorting and ranking on the basis of performance, assets, strategy, track record duration, regional investment focus, management firm location or fund domicile.
The advanced searches allow users to query the HFR Database by nearly any field, quantitative performance metric or any customized, derived calculation. The application includes powerful customized report building functionality, and includes sophisticated tools for portfolio building and rebalancing, risk modeling, regression and synthetic time series construction. Analysts, Portfolio Managers and Investment Officers of every level of sophistication will find the design and flexibility of the reader allows more powerful access to critical information to enable better, more efficient investment decision making.

The HFR online analysis suite lets you create synthetic portfolios out of funds within a basket. The weightings tab allows you to work over non-contiguous timeseries ranges. You can select to have the portfolio auto-rebalance and set the periodicity as well. Also you can run the rebalancing on a calendar year or tied to the start date that you select for the synthetic portfolio.
You can select a notional net asset value, management fees, performance fees, and high watermark for the performance fee calculation as well.
