HFR Industry Consulting Services

Hedge Fund Research, Inc. offers customized consulting project services for clients in the hedge fund, asset management, service provider or other alternative & traditional asset management industries. These services are focused on sophisticated institutional clients who have a specific request for research on a topic or suite of topics. The service is also useful for clients relatively new to the alternative investment industry but who desire a customized research agenda on a specific project initiative. Customized projects can be extensions of our existing distributable analysis or sophisticated queries into more nuanced areas of the HFR Database.
Consulting projects fall generally into 3 categories, subject to the following conditions:
In order to engage HFR Customized Industry Consulting, the prospective client is required to have an active subscription to HFR Database, Fund of Funds Database and/or Industry Reports, pending nature of inquiry.
- Most frequent extension of analysis currently performed
- Electronic and hard copy delivery available, with corresponding live consultation
- Projects typically completed within 1-3 business days
- Required access subscription: HFR Industry Report or HFR Database (as applicable)
- Range: $1,000-$4,000
- Involves material innovation on current research or customized query/access to underlying constituents of HFR Database
- Electronic and hard copy delivery available, with option of live presentation, depending on location and time constraints
- Projects typically completed within 3-15 business days
- Required access subscription: HFR Database
- Range: $5,000-$10,000
- Involves ongoing provision of research and maintenance/inquiry into specific data or area of research which may entail extensive queries of HFR Database, modification/addition to database fields and consultation with underlying managers in the area/topic of interest.
- Electronic and hard copy delivery available, with option of live presentation, depending on location and time constraints
- Initial completion typically takes longer than 15 business days
- Research may be maintained and updated on a pre-determined basis for a period of up to 12 months.
- Required access subscription: HFR Database
- Range: $10,000-$25,000
Terms of additional consulting services which might be outside the scope of items presented above are also available on a retainer and hourly basis, as is appropriate and desired.
