Hedge Fund Research, Inc. (HFR) is a research firm specializing in the aggregation, dissemination and analysis of alternative investment information. The company produces HFR Database, the industry's most widely used commercial database of hedge fund performance as well as HFR Industry Reports, a quarterly offering of hedge fund industry stats and graphs. HFR also produces and distributes the HFRX Indices and HFRI Monthly Indices - industry standard benchmarks of hedge fund performance.

Client Services Representative   Location: Chicago, Illinois
Job Responsibilities:

This position reports directly to Chief Operations Officer; indirectly to HFR President.

Client Services Representative will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing HFR's relationship with its subscriber base of product clients. Primary duties include:
  • Handling standard license agreements for HFR product subscribers
  • Integrating and centralizing HFR subscribers into a contact database that will assist HFR in more effectively identifying new sales leads and opportunities
  • Developing and expanding existing client relationships into broader usage
  • Contributing to new product development and continuous database content improvement
  • Familiarity with competitive landscape of hedge fund research business and recommending strategies for market share expansion
Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Business or Finance
  • Relevant experience in client services, sales or marketing is a plus
  • Strong interest in client services, sales and marketing
  • Strong revenue generation focus
  • Self-confident and adaptable
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Aptitude with contact database management systems a plus

    Salary:    Salary will be commensurate with education and/or experience.
